Disgraced Pak Nuke Expert Undergoes A Successful Cancer Opeartion

Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan was operated at the Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi on Saturday. Dr Khan was diagnosed with prostate cancer last month. He was moved from his virtual confinement in Islamabad to Karachi Thursday evening. Surgeons successfully removed the cancerous prostrate of disgraced nuclear scientist and father of Pakistan’s nuclear programme, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan. “It was a very successful operation. As a team we are very satisfied,” stated Dr Farhat Abbas, the head of the team. Dr Khan was disgraced after he admitted in December 2003 about sharing nuclear technology with Libya and Iran but somehow was pardoned considering his contribution to Pakistan’s national defense.
